Easy FTP setup and hotlink

This tutorial that will show you how to get an FTP server
and allow other people to download your files
They will not need to have an FTP server themselves
try my link here, and you will see some of my music files
ftp://anonymous2@68.43.28.95

first you need an FTP server
a good one is bulletproof, but any will do.
either somethign will pop up for your setup
or you can click set up from your tool bar.
set it up by making a name and password

now click on user accounts. 
in bullet proof this is a picture of a mans face on your toolbar
next to the picture of two faces
a window pops up
on the right is an area called user accoutns
right click here and choose add
then make a name for your users
I chose anonymous2
under setup romove the check next to password
in the box under directories right click and choose add
find the folder you want to add from your computer
be careful what you let others have access to.
then press select
now you see this file or folder in your directory window
click on it
under files you want read checked
under directories you want list checked
ok, now you have a new directory
choose ok, and exit that window
on your main window, make sure your server is connected 
on bulletproof you do this by shoosing server> go online
 
now, you need your ip address
go here to get it
http://www.whatismyip.com/
 say your ip is 255.255.255.255
on your page, make a link to 

ftp:// (user account you made for them to see your
 files)@( your ip address)

so if you made the new user account name anonymous, 
and your ip is 255.255.255.255
then it would be
ftp://anonymous@255.255.255.255

just as my music files are at

ftp://anonymous2@68.43.28.95

now, people only have access to your
files when you are on line, and have your FTP server running

make sure you let them know this
